About Camille
The unintended expat blogger behind Relocate & Thrive

Hello, I am Camille
Professional project manager. Parent. An expatriate based in Paris, France.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually evolved into a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn't in the long-range plan. As with many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were intense — fresh processes, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, ambiguity, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Relocate & Thrive
Most information available online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to close that gap — practical advice grounded in real-life experiences in France.
What This Site Is About (And Isn't)
This Site Is:
- Practical experience from daily life in France
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This Site Isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in France goes on, and the learning continues. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Camille
